Jacoby Transfers

______ This lesson introduces the developing player to the intricacies of Jacoby Transfers. We presume the pair is playing a 15-17 HCP 1NT without Texas Transfers. Nevertheless, the following responses and rebids can pertain to any range, assuming the proper adjustments are made.

______ After the bidding has started with 1NT:2:2 or 1NT:2:2 we might see:

Pass	0-8 points, signing off.
2NT	9-10 points, inviting game in 3NT or Responder's long major.
3NT	11-15 points, forcing game in 3NT or Responder's long major.
3-of-the-major	9-10 points, 6+ in the major, inviting game in Responder's major.
4-of-the-major	11-15 points, 6+ in the major, forcing game in Responder's major.
