The first annual Fireside Amateurs, Commentators, Teachers & Owners Invitational Duplicate will be held on Sunday, December 8thth, 2002 at 10:00 A.M. PST. You can join in on the fun just by emailing Sara "Believer" Stobbe at SaraStobbe@aol.com and grab one of the celebrity players listed below (for $50.00 U.S.). Or, for $25.00 U.S., you can register with your favourite partner and take on the "biggies". The pair with the highest score wins the Player's Plaque. Registration is open to all.

Included in your registration is an Owner's vote. You get to pick any three pairs from the list; whichever owner selects the 3 most successful pairs wins the Owner's Trophy. Participants are encouraged but not required to include themselves as one of their 3 chosen pairs. Some may wish to just kibitz and cheer on their pairs in action. Not a problem. For the same $25.00 U.S. you can register as a non-playing owner and pick your 3 favourite pairs.

All proceeds go to the Fireside Fund to further the cause of online bridge teaching.

The "Ambassador Day" tourney in which we'll compete is free, open to all, so you do not require a tourney account to play. After the tourney we will all return to Believer's table for a final roundup and determination of the winning pair. Hand analysis will be emailed to all of the participants later.

At 9:30 A.M. PST, one half hour before game time, we will all meet at Believer's table for the opening ceremonies. After the event we will rendezvous at Believer's and wait for the scores to come in and to announce our winner.
